What Is Dyscalculia?
Dyscalculia is a specific and persistent difficulty in understanding numbers. It can lead to a diverse range of difficulties with mathematics. Dyscalculia is not linked to age, level of education, or experience and occurs across all ages and abilities. For the full definition of Dyscalculia visit the British Dyslexia Association's website.
A number of students living with Dyscalculia have benefited from the Cellfield Dyslexia Programme. Additionally, we use a number of learning aids including Base Ten and Cuisinaire Rods to assist our dyscalculic students as part of their tuition lessons. If you are concerned that your child might have Dyscalculia please visit our Cellfield information page for more information or contact us today.
