K E Colley (Mother)

Amy was officially diagnosed with Dyslexia through school during year three, the school thought there was an issue during year 1 but due to guidelines she couldn’t be tested until year three. She struggled with spellings, reading and writing neatly. After attending Cellfield Amy’s spelling have improved greatly her understanding of words has increased, her reading is amazing compared to what it was. Cellfield has helped with her eyes, concentration and enabled her to focus on her work for longer periods of time. Amy continues to attend Kip weekly.

We brought Ellie to Kip to help prepare her for the 11+ test. Kip is certainly doing this, and so much more. Ellie had never much taken to school, but for the first time we have seen her actually enjoy being taught and become self-motivated with her learning. Ellie was also a little behind on her Maths so this is being addressed alongside the 11+ work. Her confidence has improved so much that it has freed her up to attempt and succeed in Maths where previously she would have avoided. The staff at Kip are entirely open and honest, always ready with relevant and valuable feedback which as a parent is so important and reassuring. As a family we are so grateful to Kip for giving Ellie the educational boost she needed - it has made a fundamental shift in her attitude to education which will undoubtedly benefit her in so many ways going forward. Our grateful thanks

Kip McGrath helped push my grades up. I went from achieving low B's and C's to A*'s in all three sciences! As a college student and an aspiring medic, I would definitely recommend Kip for any students who are struggling.

Tracy, Andy and Will Gillis.

Hi Clare, Gareth and Kerry. Just to inform you of Will's results, he passed all ten of his GCSE's, seven of them being grade C's.We know that in one component of his chemistry he achieved an A star, which was fantastic, and in biology an A. As you know over the years Will's maths has always been his weakest subject, however he achieved a grade C thanks to all the hard work from Kerry and yourselves this past school year. We are all so pleased with his results, and now he is able to continue into further education with the college and courses of his choice, which are BTEC level 3 diploma in sport, and either A level biology, or A level psychology. Once again many thanks to you all, we wish you all the best, you deserve it with all the hard work and dedication you put in.

A massive thank you to you and Holly for assisting in building the foundation for Luke's secondary education.

Nadina Skinner (Kip McGrath Student)

I first came to Kip McGrath Scunthorpe when I was at senior school. I was really struggling with my Maths and Science, after my year 11 mock exams I failed both Maths & Science. With Science being my worst subject I got a G and in my Maths I got a D. Clare was very supportive and with her help and lots of hard work I passed both subjects during my GCSE's. I got a C in both Maths and Science and a D in English. I decided to go back to Clare during my college year to help me pass my English. Again Clare gave me the help I needed and I sat my English resit and passed with a B. I was over the moon to jump from D to B. There's no way I could have passed without the Kip McGrath centre's help. Not just helping me to pass exams but a lot of advice and tips that I still use today. The centre also teaches you how to sit your exams and present your work & how to answer your exams questions. I am now studying at Edgehill University where I got a high achievers Scholarship due to having higher than the entry standards for my BA Hons degree course. I owe a lot to Clare and her team at Kip McGrath; I am very grateful to them.
