Grammar School places are in high demand. Most UK schools do not teach 11 + exam skills. As a result preparation is a key element in 11 plus exam success. Many parents, students and teachers are unsure of the best place to start with 11 plus preparation.
Since 2008 Clare Powell and her team have prepared students for the 11 + exams. Amongst these schools are Gainsborough Grammar (QEHS or Queen Elizabeth High School), Caistor Grammar, Hillhouse in Doncaster, Hull Hymers, Pocklington School and Lincoln Minster. Consequently, a high number of these students have secured places at their chosen schools; some even achieved a scholarship. To introduce students to the key verbal reasoning skills, these Skills books have been developed. Once completed children are ready to work on practice exam papers. With unique questions, clear instructions and strategies these books are perfect to be used by parents home schooling, teachers, tuition centres and private tutors. A video course is available to accompany these books. Once students have completed an activity in the classwork book they can practice the skill independently in the Homework book.
